“That’s the tea I’ve been drinking for this month. I enjoyed the taste and freshness. The quality is way beyond my expectation” Read full tasting note
Tea from a small farm at 3000 feet near Volcano
The small farm (owned by Luana Stauffer & Chuck Snider) is at 3000 feet on the slopes of Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island. It is in a rainforest environment with a natural fashion amongst ohia and hapu’u
The other day, when Luana told me that she’s a new grower and hopes to get some feedback from me about her newly harvested tea,
I has no idea what to expect. But, as soon as I opened the package, I was impressed by the aroma, shape and taste of the tea
The dry tea leaves carry a light bouquet aroma. The leaves were hand rolled with consistent shapes.I could tell how fresh the tea leaves were by the white tipped leaves. The tea itself is very clean with a nice greenish yellow color.
The taste of tea is what I really appreciated: lingering with a bit of chestnut taste. It reminds me of the finest Chinese green tea.
