Kukicha, which means “twig tea,” is comprised of stems, stalks, and twigs plucked during the dormant season, making it low in price as well as caffeine. The brew yields a full and textured brilliant yellow liquor, and has a remarkably sweet flavor while retaining that trademark Japanese vegetal quality. Ours is from the Shizuoka region of Japan.
