There aren't any tasting notes for this tea yet.
This year, after a long time, we visited the villages in the Shizuoka region, where a large part of our teas come from. We first visited this family in 2007 and this year we were very pleased with the new tea workshop or rather studio, where our long-time supplier and friend Jiro produces high-class selected teas. This year, we had the opportunity to taste several beautiful pieces from cultivars that are not usually found in gardens anymore, they are quite rare and their annual production on this farm is in kilograms. The Okumidori cultivar is a cultivar that is often used to produce Gyokuro teas due to its depth, intensity and sweetness. It is therefore also very suitable for the production of shaded kabusé, where its properties stand out beautifully. Beautiful appearance, more pronounced sweetness, full umami taste make it one of the best teas in our Japanese offer. Only 3 kg available.
