Xia Yong Mao Jian is one of the Top 10 Teas of China. Its history traces back to 875 BCE, according to an archaeologist who found a small amount in an ancient tomb. This tea was selected by our Tea Sommeliers from Xin Yang, Hehan Province, where it is grown at a high altitude and experiences four seasons. This gives the tea a balanced sweet taste and a lush jade coloured leaves.

Steeping Guide:
Teaware: Glass or ceramic Gaiwan
Amount: 3g /1½ teaspoons
Temperature: 80°c (176°F)
Steeping Time: 1 to 2 minutes for the first two steeps and 3 to 5 minutes for the third and fourth.
*These steeping directions are for a traditional Gongfu style tea, if you are brewing this tea in a regular cup we recommend steeping for 2 – 3 minutes. This tea can also been steeped 4 times.
