“There is no way that this tea was really a Gyokuro. It didn’t even taste like it was Japanese! Broken leaves made me question if this was half-way to becoming a Matcha, but really it was just T2...” Read full tasting note

Description

Exceptionally unique, carefully cultivated and delicately handled, this is the highest grade of Japanese green tea. Stunning glossy emerald-green, needle-like leaves expand and transform when brewed to reveal tender young green tea shoots. A vibrantly bright infusion with an almost fluorescent green tinge produces a sweet and rich aroma and a wonderfully thick, creamy body. Complex flavours, including baby spinach, fragrant flowers and savoury grass combine in a refined way from start to finish. Stunning in looks, taste and feel, Gyokuru is a sweet, smooth sensation that lingers.
