This superb, high quality Mao Feng is from the famous “Dao Ren Peak” in the mountains of the Zhejiang Province of China. This region is perpetually shrouded by clouds due to its high elevation and is named for the Taoist monks who meditated upon the mountain in ancient times. Carefully and lovingly, they tended to their tea garden, cultivating the precious tealeaves strictly for their own use. In time, they graciously began sharing their prized tea with the rest of the world.
The young, tippy tealeaves yield a golden cup, naturally sweet with a fruity, nutty aroma and a somewhat buttery character. It is a highly sought after green tea that is sure to delight the tea novice and connoisseur alike.
