A rare, competition grade tea grown high in the mountains in Anhui Province in gardens surrounded by wild orchids that scent the leaves with their fragrance. Two leaves and a bud are plucked, withered and shaped in a heated metal bowl and successively fired over charcoal. A long and wide deep green leaf results that offers a clean, nuanced taste and a lasting finish. We have an excellent lot. Steep 1 /1/2 – 2 minutes in water at 185 degrees.
