2006 Mengku DaXueShan Raw 400g
Mengku’s Gold Award winning Big Snow Mountain Natural Wild Puerh Tea Cake. Shuangjiang Mengku Tea factory the most famous tea factory in the Lincang area of south-western Yunnan has produced this cake for a second year. The leaves used are all from Wild (not ancient) trees from the “Big Snow Mountain” a mountain that tops out at 3,200 meters above sea level, making it the highest mountain in Lincang county. Lincang is synonomous with high quality material used to make Raw Pu-erhs.
This cake has a mellow character but with a sort of spicy/nutty golden yellow liquor. Recent years have proven that the wild trees of this variety will age well. Mengku no longer produces this cake. The last year of production was 2006.
