The other reviewers didn’t like this near as much as I did. I greatly appreciate there was no globe amaranth in this. It is the hibiscus of flowering teas IMHO. I did three mugs today. I could drink this one often. Usually I put a nearly identical review on here and my blog. Today I put a more detailed version on the blog. I totally forgot I had this! I got this in a set for Christmas last year. It came with a glass tea pot and 12 flowering teas. I love flowering teas! They are so beautiful. This was perfect for the mood I was in. I had a ton of sugar today so something light and far away from sugary-sweet seemed just right.
The red flower is very pretty. The flavor is very floral and light. It is lacking a little bit but hey, it fits for right now.

I just read the post on this tea on your blog, and then I found and read the post about how you migrated from your Hot Shot to the Bodum French press. I don’t have a ‘profile’ that allows me to leave a comment, so I thought I would leave a comment here.
I enjoyed reading it. I’m listening to Duran Duran right now, and so it’s hard to think too much, but I still wanted to let you know I enjoyed reading you blog! I have a glass Bodum pot with a removable stainless steel filter/plunger and I love it (got it as a gift, I think it runs for $32 but it’s definitely worth it! Now, I don’t use the filter/plunger as much because I love being able to watch the leaves steep.
Thanks SimpliciTEA, I did not realize a comment could not be written without a profile. I will have to study and see if that can be changed.
On the press, I either A. don’t put the plunger on until the tea is steeped or B. pull the plunger all the way to the top of the lid. Both give full visibility AND more importantly allows the leaf to fully interact with the water. Bi Luo Chun has been one of the most active to watch. Oh, and the Iron Goddess of Mercy, I could not even see across the press with that one for the leaf.
