TTB Review #35: Definitely lives up to its name – I can taste ginger, basil, and lemon individually and they all work well together. I’ve found it’s very easy to overdo the ginger to the point where it’s overpowering, and this tea does a good job of reigning it in. I do wish the pieces of apple and pineapple had more presence.

The strongest flavor here is a quite tart lemon rind. After that, I taste some savory herbal flavors. It’s all a bit too savory for me, but it’s okay. There’s a slight spiciness from the ginger. I don’t order from Plum Deluxe anymore, so it was nice to try this in the TTB!

I like the ginger forwardness of this blend, and the lemon/basil undertones balance it well. I can’t really taste the black tea, but on a summer day like today, that’s ok with me. If you don’t care much for ginger, I’d pass on this one, but I’m gonna see if I can get three steeps here!
