Another unique addition to our collection! These single-serving tea coins are made of Phoenix Mountain material. This varietal is usually processed into an oolong, but in this case it has been fully oxidized into a black tea, and pressed into a convenient serving size.
Reminiscent of a jin jun mei, this black tea has the dark, comforting notes of chocolate husks, dark beer, and just an edge of burnt toast—in just the right way! The bright fruitiness and minerality of the Phoenix material is subtle, but gradually emerges in later infusions.
With 6 grams of tea per coin, this is the perfect amount for a single cup of tea, or a gongfu session. Make sure you resteep this fantastic tea!
