“additional notes:  Sipdown!  A good one.   I always think this is like a malty chocolate black tea but the resulting cup is even better.  It’s like the best sort of longlasting Darjeeling profile. ...” Read full tasting note

Description

This tea has a grade of FTGFOP1 – Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe with the additional “1” indicating the very finest – which basically indicates that this tea was produced from whole leaves and contains a large proportion of leaf tips & gold-colored buds.

The dry leaves are a mix of dark brown & black with a good amount of gold buds in the mix with a slightly nutty & floral aroma. The infusion is a crystal clear amber color with a sweet, musky aroma. It produces a smooth, full bodied cup with low astringency that carries musky, floral notes and an almost raisiny sweetness in the finish
