Our organic Gyokuro loose leaf tea is matured under full shade for three weeks, resulting in a hue and palate distinctive from other green teas.
The aroma transports you to a citrus grove where the fragrance of orange blossoms hang in the air. Notes are at once subtle and nostalgic; a savory and earthy, almost vegetal feeling permeates the mouth, beginning with a memory of nori and gradually fading into whispers of french beans and cucumber.
This exceptional tea demands a unique brewing method to reach its full potential. Foremost, a lower water temperature is key, between 50-60c. Use roughly one to two grams of tea per 30 ml of water, and let steep for a minimum of five minutes. Subsequent steeps require only a minute or two.
