Description

This classically produced high mountain black tea is about as solid a tea as we have on the site right now. Traditional black tea malt strength, high mountain subtle lightness, and hints of red fruit, it is quietly, unassumingly, beautiful. Made with masterful hands using the rich clean leaves of our Jade Mountain partner farm, this tea is rich, strong and true.

Most black teas currently produced in the high mountain of Taiwan are much closer to red oolongs than traditional back teas. by lowering the oxidization levels, these modern teas can wow you with brilliant red florals and fruit profiles. They have their place, but strong and subtly classic teas like this one deserve a place as well. We are proud to give it one on our site.

We have been blown away by the exceptional teas being produced from this garden as we keep buying more of them! Jade Mountain Red and Winter Jade Oolong are two other teas masterly crafted from this garden and you can get them in a set (Here) if you want to taste the impact oxidization has on the material from the same plants.
