Description

Our bold ambition in composing this new product is to provide a tea to initiate a relaxed time filled with laughter and joy. This Shiawase Cha blends kelp which is secretly contained in many Japanese food items and condenses minerals of the sea with healthy green tea.

Classy ingredients like the finest Uji Maccha, superior Karigane tea, Genmai tea and noble Hokkaido Rishiri Kelp are coordinated carefully to a tasteful composition.
The taste of this sublime mixture has a particularly calming and relaxing effect.

One day Mr. Tamiya, the owner of Maiko Tea was sitting at our irori (traditional hearth) and playfully took some of the konbu (kelp) snack dropping it in his cup. The kelp floated to the top of the tea and slowly started to emanate its flavor. ‘Quite delicious, this taste is very relaxing’ he thought testing this new concoction. Then, he mixed some of the kelp with various teas, experimenting to find the best blend. At last, when he used karigane genmaicha combined with tea ceremony maccha, the flavor put a happy smile on his face.
A new delicious blend of tea was born.
‘ This is a tea that relaxes and puts a smile on your face’ he thought as his eyes fell on a calendar created by the Japanese artist Kumiko Minami. ‘ What a coincidence. The mood of those pictures exactly match what I am feeling now,’
Mr. Tamiya pondered. This is why he decided to have this artist create the design for the tea.
Please try our new delicious product that will put a smile on your face!
