Cofftea

I agree, tea flavored sugar:) I wish the citrus would be stronger.

Caitlin

Haha – yeah at least in this case it was tea flavored fake sugar so it was minus the calories – haha & yeah more citrus would be nice

A friend bought this for me to get bonus air miles. It was free, it says its tea.

It actually is not too bad for a bottled tea. It is quite sweet, but you can taste the green tea. The primary taste is the lemon flavour though. Even though lemon is the strongest flavour, it is not tart or sour lemon. It was definitely thirst quenching enough. For a bottled tea-type drink I think it meets the requirements.

Oh man, I used to drink this more often than green tea frap. One day fot no reason I just quit. Now I need one.

It is a good thing I like this, its as close to tea as I have had since yesterday afternoon. I sat with my wife at her craft show booth last night and all day today. I am such a good husband – I have been tracking a package of teaware as it traversed the continent. It arrived today without me being present. It was setting next to the garage when I got home. So I have my first Yixing and a small clear teapot for visual teas. To late for caffeine tonight. Depending on what my wife has planned for me tomorrow, I may have to wait until Monday to try them out. Sigh, but in a happy anticipating way.

TheTeaFairy

Oh, you deserve your tea gears for being such a great hubby :-)

Lala

What kind of crafts does your wife do?

Suziqzer

So good of you to be a patient husband. I’m sure you’ll have time to enjoy your new tea ware soon.

K S

TTF: yeah, that was a little self promotion. Honestly it was tough leaving this morning knowing according to FedEX tracking it was going to arrive today.

Lala: She makes doll clothes that fit American Girl sized dolls. She also made some stuffed animals.

Suziqzer

What a beautiful day it was for a craft show too.

K S

Suziqzer – looks like you posted while I was tying. I’ve already scrubbed my glass pot and began seasoning the yixing. I’m ready.

The weather yesterday was a little too breezy here yesterday without a jacket. Of course I didn’t wear one. You can remind me of that later if I complain of a sore throat. :)

I’m rating this as the soft-drink that it is. As a soft-drink, this is great. Very refreshing.

Cofftea

I wouldn’t consider this a soft drink at all. It’s simply bottled presweetened tea. Now their sparkling tea is more soft drinkish, but I’d still qualify that as tea as well.

chompy

I have tried sparkling tea before but never from Lipton. It was a Darjeeling tea with lemon sold in Japan. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I know from experience that the tea Lipton sell here in the UK differs greatly from the ice tea they sell in Japan (the British variety being more fruit with hints of tea and the Japanese tea with hints of fruit). I can’t speak of the American variety having never tried it.

The main reason I consider this (or at least, the British version of this) a soft-drink is because it is incredibly sweet and fruity and the only tea it contains is “tea extract” at a fraction of one percent.

Urgh, tastes like watery Five Alive – isn’t there supposed to be tea in this somewhere??? Unfortunately it was a choice between this and Pepsi so I took the lesser of two evils.

Do not be deceived: this is not green tea with citrus. This is weak lemonade. However, it’s not nastily artificially sweet, nor does it have enough citric acid to curl your tongue. And when it’s in triple digits and you’ve been doing VBS with a cluster of fourth graders , on ice, it’ll do. I brought the rest of the bottle home and halved it with some Brew La La strawberry green tea and it turned into a nice little fruit punch cooler.

I’ve been one entire summer to drink this tea in cans. I bought almost two packs of twelve cans a week. It was a drug, litterally. For the ones who want to try it, you won’t regret it. But I got enough of it and I saw a big difference in my bank account thereafter. It’s totally addictive!
