White tea from Ilam, Nepal. Beautifully processed, slightly oxidized, longitudinally rolled, completely unbroken dry leaf consisting exclusively of young silver fluffy leaves. A light, golden green infusion with a delicate herbal, sweet and creamy flavour with hints of lime blossom, a trace of lime and basil.
Kalapani Garden
The garden is located in the Ilam region in the very east of the country near the border with Darjeeling at an altitude of 1750 m on an area of 0.35 hectares. It is a relatively young (17 years) project of a local Rai family. The processed tea comes partly from the produce of this small family garden and partly from nearby farmers.
