Lishan Oolong is a famous variety of tea from Taiwan. This particular tea was harvested from the QingXin varietal due to it’s velvety mouth-feel, strong floral/fruity notes, and sumptuous aroma. The leaves show a variety of green tones and are tightly hand rolled, but once infused, are very large and produce an incredible yellow liquor. The flavor is smooth and reminds you of a traditional, and quality, Taiwanese oolong. Quite simply…it just tastes like a really great Taiwanese oolong.
This tea is ideal for 3+ infusions. Steep at 195-205 for a fruitier note. Steep at 205-210 for a more floral note. The steeping time and temperatures below are simply a starting point for brewing and we recommend that you adjust those specs to suit your palate!
This tea has been harvested from the YiPingChun tea garden in Nantou, Taiwan (1500m above sea level). The Tea Master for this garden is Zhi Xing Chen. YiPingChun is approximately 35 hectares and began producing top quality Taiwanese oolongs since 2010.
