From Japanese Green Tea Direct From Farm (ebay Store)

Macha quality and price are varied mainly by procedures and the time of harvest.
Cheap macha is harvested in fall and produced by a “ball mill” which can produce massively(a ball mill produces 1000g in a hour approx.)
by this method, it deteriorates quolity of Matcha in color, scent, taste, natural sweetness and good nutritions by heat.

Our Matcha is harvested in Spring and take a lot of time for grounding with a stone mill as a traditional procedure.
This procedure makes Matcha`s aroma and sweetness be enhanced and it`s color and scent is kept fresh.
A stone mill can mill matcha particle smaller than 10μ, so matcha can easy to melt in water and taste is smoother.

One stone mill can produce Matcha only up to 70g in a hour. and to ship fresh matcha, We produce Matcha only for orders.

Here is a matcha directly from Japan, great price and quality.
Recommended Matcha for ceremoney and for cooking.

Have been making banana/melon/yogurt/milk shakes with it all summer. Drank it like that or frozen and more like icecream. Absolutely love the shakes – and peeps around me loved them too.

Matcha itself without milk i can’t drink. Bitter. Idk if that’s normal with matcha tea or it’s just this one that’s like that? Even a sip of milk changes it completely to delicious.

Cofftea

I’ve had matchas (or more specifically certain matcha:water ratios) that have been just a touch bitter, but sour? That’s just sad and icky! :(

malomorgen

lol nah i used the wrong word :) bitter is what i ment. hey i’m croatian after all :)))

Cofftea

OK well I feel better now. There should be a bit of bitterness- you don’t want it overly sweet after all. How much matcha to water did you use?

malomorgen

um half a teaspoon of matcha and very little hot water. like 1/2dl even less… then use the froth thingie ;)

malomorgen

after i try DoMatha in that way I’ll be able to tell if its about matcha or im just doing something wrong…

On first impression, this very green tea not only looked like, but even smelled like grass. I was slightly sceptical. The variation I tasted was sweetened, but still had a lingering bitterness, not powerful, but similar to the taste I experience after mowing a lawn on a hot day. Everything about this reminds me of grass, yet somehow I find this enjoyable.

It’s not bad but I think ceremonial matcha should be better than this. Well, I’ve never had a really good expensive stuff before but from the 4 different matcha I have so far. This one would be 3 in the rank in terms of price and how much I like the tea. The colour is good. The flavour seems to be on the mild side.
