Huang Shan Mao Feng is harvested from the Huang Shan (Yellow Mountains) of Anhui province. Early spring “flag spear” leaves are harvested, withered, pan-fired, and finally dry-roasted with hardwood charcoal. The flavor is an interestingly gentle smokiness and an intriguingly long sweetness that lingers long after the drinking has been done. It is no surprise that it is one of China’s most sought-after green teas along with the famous Dragon Well and Bi Luo Chun.
