Deze losse gekookte puerh komt van een kleine theefabriek uit Yunnan, de oorsprong van de Pu-Erh thee. De thee heeft al een mooie zachte aardse smaak gekregen maar ontwikkelt zich nog gedurende de 5 tot 12 jaar.
Oorsprong: Mengku, Lincang, Yunnan
Oogst: 2007
Stijl: Gekookt (Shu)
Kwaliteit: graad 3
Bewaaradvies: Bewaar op een koele en donkere plaats.
Voorkomen: Een makkelijk te drinken puerh met een aardse zachte smaak en een zoete dikke nasmaak.
Zetadvies: 3 tot 5 gram thee op 200ml water, temperatuur maximaal 95°C, was de thee kort, daarna korte trektijden van 10 tot 15 seconden, giet minstends 5 keer opnieuw op.

Not so great in my opinion. I have drank far better shu pu-erh for a similar price. This one is strongly earthy with some sweetness. However for my taste it is too dry, too earthy and not sweet and soft/thick enough. The strong earthiness quite quickly becomes unpleasant when overbrewn, because the flavor profile offers too little softness and sweetness to balance it. For my taste at least.
But maybe this one just hasn’t aged enough, yet? I am considering to store it away, curious to see how it will be a couple of years from now.
