Description

Tasting Notes: Sesame, Honey Butter, Sweet Potato
Gardens planted starting in the 1950s are located in a mountainous growing region. This small, environmentally focused village is composed of only a few hundred families. Since an earthquake in 2008, the village has been working with the NGO Green Camel Bell to develop sustainable agricultural systems with a focus on high quality tea production and processing. Without the influence of macro agriculture, this isolated mountain village can focus on true organic growing practices and work in tea to create an economic stimulus for the community. Chayuan translates to ‘tea garden’.
