Lao Bai Cha is relatively rare outside China. Many people drink fresh white tea and are not even aware that White tea can be aged like Pu Erh tea. Ageing makes the tea taste and texture become smoother and fuller.
This tea in particular is a special one, the tea tree’s are left all alone to nature without human intervention – absolutely no chemicals, pruning, fertilizing etc. In essense this is a organic tea. The lack of human intervention has made a much more complex tasting tea compared to similar made tea’s, I am quite sure this will be a sought after tea in the coming years. This is still a young tea and it will benefit from further storage, however as it is now it has a lighter more refreshing taste compared to older ones.
This tea is a limited production with 9999 units, each tea has its batch number stamped on the paper packing. The leaves are picked in 2015, and pressed into cakes in 2017.
