Description

This powdered tea has been the pride of Uji for several centuries. It has been used in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. The Thin Grade pairs especially well with chocolates. Traditionally drunk hot (although we offer it iced at our stores), Jobetsugi is a mouth-filling experience. The spinach and artichokes flavors are most prominent. Since this is a thin matcha, the flavors are slightly muted. The natural tastes of Tencha are amplified exponentially. This matcha tastes intensely of spinach and artichokes, followed by a bracing caffeine bite.
