San Bei means “three cups”, and Xiang refers to fragrance (i.e. Three Cups Fragrant). Native drinkers of this tea steep the leaf three times to unveil the unique fragrance each time. The initial steeping’s flavor is refreshing, with a sweet pine aroma and nutty taste. The latter brews get sweeter and milder.
