Gunpowder is a widely-known green tea with grey-green leaves tightly rolled into small pellets that resemble old-fashioned gunpowder. The leaves slowly unfurl when infused to produce a bold, dark-green liquor. This is a full-bodied tea with a slightly smoky aroma and an assertively brisk flavor. Often a good tea for people switching from coffee, it is also famously used as the base for North Moroccan mint tea.
