Yunnan SourcingThis is a very expensive shou from Puerhshop. I considered buying this for about two years before actually doing so. This is a sweet shou with a fair amount of fermentation flavor and very little bitterness. The fermentation taste was not of the unpleasant sort. There are some very nice notes to this tea, perhaps dates is a good estimate of the flavor. It didn’t seem chocolaty but I really didn’t drink that much of it. I did brew eight steeps but in a 50ml gaiwan. It really does have a nice flavor to it.
I steeped this tea eight times in a 50ml gaiwan with 3.6g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, and 30 sec. The leaves were not done but I decided that eight steeps was already too much caffeine.
