“This is a strong, full-bodied breakfast tea with a nice cocoa flavor. Black, it’s a bit too astringent for my tastes, but it mellows nicely with a splash of milk. Overall, I enjoyed my sample, but...” Read full tasting note
“Good breakfast tea. A little bit more astringent than I like. Has some chocolate notes that are good. I added milk and sugar, which improved on the astringency, but I would prefer not to have to...” Read full tasting note
“Holy punch in the face. Even with a healthy dash of almond milk, this was certainly effective at waking me up this morning. I’ve never had any other Scottish Breakfast teas, so I can’t comment much...” Read full tasting note

Description

This blend of black teas, made with teas from India and China, should suit Scots very well. It is very strong, robust, malty, and most importantly has a hint of cask oak, calling to mind a single malt Scotch.

A small amount of milk in this tea will enhance the malty character and highlight the red colour of the tea. Scottish Breakfast makes a bracing cup of tea, perfect for the morning.
