22 Tasting Notes
Really delicious black tea. Loved the vanilla and chocolate notes in it. When I smell the dry leaves it smells like vanilla. When I smell the brewed tea it smells strongly of chocolate. Goes down really smooth. I taste no astringency. This would be a perfect tea to sip around the fireplace on a cold winter night.

When I saw this on the Harney & Sons website I really wanted to try it. It just sounded so delicious! Finally got my sample in yesterday and decided to give this a taste. When you smell the dry leaves there is definitely something chocolatey and coconutty. After brewing it the smell is just so yummy…a vanilla chocolate cream. Drinking it is even better. I feel like I’m drinking a vanilla dessert beverage with just a hint of floral undertone. Very delicious!

Good breakfast tea. A little bit more astringent than I like. Has some chocolate notes that are good. I added milk and sugar, which improved on the astringency, but I would prefer not to have to add anything to my teas. A strong cup of tea to wake up to.

Pretty good tea but not as good as the Irish Cream. This tea has a more astringent taste to it that I can’t get out of my mouth even after adding milk to it. There’s a very pleasant taste to it, but I can’t pinpoint what it is exactly. I want to say it’s something citrusy but I just can’t put my finger on it.

Got this as a sample from Stephanie! It is sooooo good! I love lychee and the flavor comes out really well in this tea! You can really smell the lychee flavor. I also taste something floral and sweet. It goes down really smooth with no astringency. Will definitely be getting more of this in the future!

Loved the smell of the dry leaves on this one. Delicious tea…malty and no bitterness. No astringency either which gets high points from me for that. I’m sipping this, but I don’t know how people got all those different tastes from it? Chocolate…maybe a hint. Bread? I can’t taste it. So delicious though…very smooth and goes down easy. I think I could drink this all day since it is so smooth.

First time trying an oolong and it reminds me of the teas I’ve tried in the past with my dad. I guess I just didn’t know that I was drinking an oolong back then. The tea is very delicious but I don’t really know how to describe the flavors I taste. I do have to say that it tastes better cold than hot because there’s less astringency to it when cold. Will definitely be trying more oolongs in the future.
Preparation
I was really excited to try this tea because it was a cream earl grey version. However, after trying it I can’t say that I love it. The cream taste doesn’t come out very well in the tea and neither does the earl grey.

So I got this in the mail and I was wondering to myself…why did I get this tea again? I don’t really have any special preference for rose-flavored tea and in fact…it didn’t sound all the appealing to me! But I think I ordered this because it seemed so out of the ordinary and it had gotten really good reviews on Steepster so I decided to give it a try. It was in fact pretty good! I’m pleasantly surprised! It wasn’t overwhelming with rose flavor even though I thought I used too many rose buds in the steeping. Instead, there’s a nice rose taste with a creamy under tone that pulls it all together. I can’t say that I can taste much white tea in it, but overall it’s a good flavor to try.

Wow what a yummy tea! Very malty and similar to the irish breakfast I drank yesterday but more smooth and no astringency! I love how this goes down my throat leaving nothing behind but just deliciousness! Will become definitely one of my go to black teas from now on.
