From Ducky Life Tea

We named this amazing Oolong for its distinctive buttery aroma and its fascinating taste-rich, smooth, and slightly sweet, with intriguing butter-like overtones. It reminds us of buttered popcorn. The tea, from the high mountains of Taiwan, has broad leaves that brew up beautifully to a light golden color. It’s absolutely delicious! One whiff, one sip, and you know you’ve found something special.

I’m not sure if it’s because of the name or it actually smells like this or not…but…
The loose leaf ACTUALLY SMELLS like corn kernels prior to popping! The taste is buttery, yes. The beginning of the sip is sweeter and then it turns a little bit vegetal but it’s a gentle veggie taste. This is nice! I’m honored to add it to my stash!

Another good tea name!

Oh — I saw mention of Ducky Life Tea somewhere the other day…I think it was a result of looking into the “Mad Pots of Tea.” Now I’m doubly-intrigued :)

Cofftea

And organic too! And they have give back teas:)

Batrachoid

Sounds like the perfect companion to vintage kung fu movie nights.

This is a very nice Oolong, pleasantly sweet and buttery. I can definitely see why they named it popcorn and a movie – it has a smooth, buttery taste to it like a bucket of movie popcorn with extra butter!

This one I need to spend a little more time with before I write a full review, but, it will definitely be time well spent and time I’m looking forward to spending with this tea.

LiberTeas is awesome and sent me a sample of this tea. It’s a really interesting tea. I can definitely see where they’re getting the buttery flavor. sssSSSMMMOOOTH!!! Nice and creamy and smooth. It gets vegetal, as TeaEqualsBliss noted, after the butter, but not in a buttered greens kind of way, but more of an aromatic vegetial thing.

I need to play with this more, because the overall flavor of the tea is a little weak. I need to let it steep longer, maybe the second infusion. But I like it.

This tea was pretty awesome. The dried leaves have an oolong aroma, with an accept of butter and corn kernels. Steeped hot, 3.5 minutes, no additives. The aroma of the brewed tea is buttery, vegetal, and a hint of just popped corn (not strong, a hint). The flavor is smooth, sweet, buttery and a light vegetal base. Overall, very good oolong.
