“Enjoyed this tea with the traditional muscatel notes of Darjeeling. High quality with a good brew.” Read full tasting note
For those who enjoy the brisk and slightly astringent nature of Darjeeling first flush, this tea from Tindharia Tea Estate should be appropriate.
DRY TEA: The leaves are neat, moderately tippy and have a nice bloom. The leaf-color is dark grey with plenty of green.
INFUSION: The leaves turn bright green and brown. The nose is sweet vegetal underlaid with roasted nuts, a complex effect as if recalling the hardiness and the gentleness of the Himalayas, home to the world’s best tea!
CUP: The liqor is golden with a nice body. It is brisk tea with a floral character and an astringent tone.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: 2-3 minutes. However, if you reduce the tea quantity you can let it brew for up to 5 minutes for a good result.
OCCASION: A late afternoon pick-me-up.
