TTB. Roswell very kindly included this in the box upon my request- thank you! I didn’t read Arby’s tasting note, and ended up brewing a hot mug. It was indeed a mistake. It’s just so hibiscus forward that I can’t taste anything else. A bit of the nuttiness begins to peak through as it cools, but it’s mostly just hibiscus.

STTB

Don’t try this hot: you have been warned

Iced, it is still extremely sour/tart and quite heavy on the hibiscus and fruity. I do taste the strawberry but didn’t get a ton of fresh or distinctly strawberry flavour. No pistachio flavour in my cup. Definitely some generic nuttiness, just nothing that is any distinct nut. It is quite difficult to make out the flavours because the sour is overwhelming. I will be trying it again with 3x more sugar to see if that makes it more palatable to me. I’m a sour wimp xD

Doing a bit of experimentation with this one…

Brewed it up as an iced tea, but in even less water than I would normally use for iced tea to make more of a concentrate/intense red hued liquor to pour over my ice. Then, after I’d poured it over ice I topped up the mug with lemonade. I was trying to get a little bit of a red to pale yellow gradient going but it didn’t work visually because it all just blended together to make a lighter red colour.

However it was fucking AMAZING flavour wise! The taste of the tea didn’t get covered at all; it was still very bright, sweet candied strawberries/strawberry jam with nutty pistachio undertones except there was a sweet and semi-tart lemon top note to compliment the rest of the profile! Obviously strawberry lemon works quite well together as a pairing because it’s complimenting fruit notes while having the contrast between sweet and acidic, but I wasn’t sure how the nutty pistachio would play into the overall flavour. It was great, though! It added a different kind of sweetness, and I liked the nutty quality with the citrus.

So good! Probably more tea lemonade experimentation to come…

Damn, my tea/lemonade experiment bombed when I tried.

This sounds delightful
