Hwang Cha Korean Yellow Tea
Maybe we should call this our “chocolate tea.” The liquor contains intense flavors of cocoa with a bit of chrysanthemum, and is rounded out by a slight muscatel taste. The liquor gives off a light scent of cocoa which compliments the flavors of the tea. The color of the liquor resembles a mixture of honey and molasses. If you want to get a little daring, try drinking Hwang Cha with a dark chocolate truffle.
Leaf
The dark chocolately-brown colored dry loose leaves are uniform and tightly rolled. They, too, have a subtle chocolate smell, while the wet leaves give off a scent that is more savory and slightly briny.
