So I was hoping that this would taste similar to Della Terra’s Lemon Chiffon because while I love supporting Della Terra, Capital Teas is my local tea company. I am happy to say this this is very similar (and cheaper)!
I finished up the DT I had so I can’t compare side by side, but if I’m remembering correctly, the DT version is ever so slightly less rooibos-y (which is now a word). Though, CT recommended an 8 minute steep so maybe it would be different with less time. Still, the idea is the same and I’ll happily drink this one.
2.5 teaspoons + sweetener in my 16oz steeping mug

This just seemed to be a red rooibos with a hint of lemon. For being a Lemon rooibos it could have used a dose or two more of lemon.

I’ve seen this one around Steepster and wanted to try it. Now with the wonder of tea boxes, I can! The flavor is very nice. I’m not sure how as it just looks like plain rooibos to me. A sweet lemon flavor with an equal flavor of meringue. I LOVE lemon meringue pie. The rooibos takes a backseat to this lovely flavor. It reminds me of those Della Terra blends I also love.

I think i like this one a little better than the Della Terra version, if only because the lemon flavour seems a bit stronger. I don’t know if this qualifies as PIE like, but lemon chiffon…sure! :) happy to try this one out :)
