From Camellia Sinensis

This Japanese green tea comes from an early Spring harvest. Its fine leaves, plucked while still young, offer an especially delicate result in the chumushi style (medium steaming).

The liquor’s jade green color is accompanied by a full and supple texture. The usual notes of vegetable specific to Sencha bring to mind the freshness of lettuce and are harmoniously melded with a fruity (melon) finale.

The tea has a simultaneous calming and focusing effect.

This tea definitely has very vegetal notes, especially present when brewed hot. It almost overpowers the usual sencha flavour I am accustomed to. Honestly it really does remind me of lettuce, but it has a nice sweet finish. I recommend recycling the brewed tea leaves for a nice cold brew that’s smooth, light and sweet.
