I’m getting almost a hay-like flavour tonight, with that natural sweetness. It’s perfect for the dinner this evening. I decided today to make stew for the first time, and it turned out amazing! The scent and taste was just like home. :) Now for cornmeal muffins and this tea.

Often, I’d prefer decaf tea at night, but up until now, I’ve been disappointed with the ones I’ve tried. Since I’ve been extremely pleased with Butiki Teas, I decided to take a chance with Organic Decaf Korakundah. As I sip it right now, I’m pleasantly surprised. It is certainly the best decaf black tea I’ve had. I’ll be getting more of it.

Excited to try a new decaf, so I pulled this from the cabinet tonight. Made a cup…..so weak I had to try again. Used twice the recommended tea and got a light cup that had a taste of green tea (?) to it….since I only really drink black blends with milk and honey, this fell short of what my mouth was looking for. For those who drink other types of teas ( Darjeeling, etc) this might be a lovely cup, but I won’t be finishing the packet.

This my first review ever on this website and with Butiki Teas. I’m going to say “wow”. This tea is very nice. At first, I found the tea nice but without any flavor. After a couple of sips, I started to get the citrus flavors and a very faint honey flavor. I’m pretty amazed, this tea is not bitter at all and well deserves to be known.

Old Sample from Tea Sipper. Thank You!

Hmm. This is an odd black since it tastes much more like a green tea or light oolong. No bitterness at all though. Interesting.

This is a nice tea for a snowy evening in my new state. The malty scent is nice, though a little more mild now. There is still a sweet citrus flavour. Very good.

How to know you’re very into tea- making different teas in Harvest Moon (farming video game). Question- do some people really put jam in their tea?

cookies

Apparently jam in tea is a Russian thing. I haven’t tried it myself.

Blodeuyn

I’ve seen “tea jam” but had no inkling it was a actually for tea. Interesting!

Lariel of Lórien

Tried to use jam, not I used hot enough tea. It tasted a little sweeter and more like berry (jam flavour), but it didn’t all melt.

’Here’s Hoping’ traveling teabox Round #2 // Tea #14
Steep #1 // just boiled // 3 1/2 min steep
I had to try the lone Butiki tea in the teabox.. I haven’t tried this one yet. I wanted a black tea at night anyway, so this one was perfect. The leaves are a bit odd – it looks like a mixture of different teas. The flavor is definitely light… it kind of reminds me of a Formosa oolong. It’s sweet, juicy, a bit like plums. So maybe those things AND Formosa oolong, since Formosa oolong doesn’t seem like any of those things. But there is also something that reminds me of autumn leaves with a bite to it. An interesting tea, very different, but when I want a black tea, I want a black tea! But this one is the best decaf black tea option I’ve tried.

From the HHTTB2

This is good. It’s fairly light with a decent amount of sweetness to it. The smell is a bit dry and earthy. Some of that is in the taste, too, and it’s really nice. Love that there’s no chemical taste from the decaffeinating process. I really appreciate that.

I’m going to have to swing by Ceriello’s this weekend and check out the Butiki teas they have in stock!

Butiki Teas

Veronica-We don’t work with Ceriello’s anymore. I really need to take that off of our website. Sorry. We do sell out a shop in Bordentown but the prices of the tea are nearly double.

Veronica

Thank you for telling me! I’m too far from Bordentown, and I should just break down and by online. My dislike of Paypal is keeping me from good tea!
