This tea was pressed to celebrate the transition to Year of the Ox. Made from the same single origin Kunlu shan material as Oh Deer!, this fall picking retains many of the same standout qualities, but at a fraction of the price.
Just as with the spring version of this tea, there is a nice balance of flavour and mouthfeel, with an early vegetal flavour and pleasant bitterness (kuwei), which is followed up by a sweet and lasting huigan. This makes for a very dynamic tea that is well suited for drinking now or storing for down the road.
