This renowned Tuo Cha has been dryly stored in my Tea Master Chan’s warehouse for 14 years. It was discovered during a tea gathering with Tea Master Chan’s fellow students at his tea shop and this tea came highly recommended for its price and quality.
Although this tea was not made with leaves from old arbor trees (few of the teas made during the 1990’s were), it possesses the charm of a classic aged raw Pu-erh. The mouth sensation is steady and comfortable. It starts with the flavor of dried jujube, with a hint of ginseng. At later infusions, the tea turns sweet. For those who have not tried an aged raw Pu-erh, this Tuo Cha would be a nice introduction.
