YAY Travelling teabox!

So admittedly i picked this one in part to try a NON black adagio blend to see if it’s just their black or it’s all of their teas. Verdict is…it’s all of their teas. I just don’t understand everyone’s fascination with them. It’s kinda like david’s tea…i mean they’re alright but there’s SOOO much more out there that makes me happier :)

That being said, i don’t hate this blend like i have the black based blends, but it’s also lacking a bit. I REALLY like the sound of this blend but i feel like this compared to what Stacy could pull out of her hat, just isn’t worth it. Drinkable? yes? enjoyable? meh.

Sorry TeaEqualsbliss! :( I’m sure it’s adagio and nothing to do with you. I’m with momo on this…adagio and I just don’t get along.

TeaEqualsBliss

No prob! I understand :)

LiberTEAS

Adagio is sort of a gateway tea, kind of like teavana. It gets people introduced to loose leaf tea, and that’s a good thing, but, for the most part, their teas are rather lackluster.

Sil

i know.. but the flavour/name was sooo promising! curse adagio for always getting my hopes up.

However Adagio flavors their teas, I am really not a fan of it. I was hoping a custom blend would taste far better, but it’s only marginal.

The flavors are just flavoring. And it doesn’t taste all that good to me. It’s too strong, even after I poured it into a glass of ice.

If it wasn’t for that, this would be really enjoyable. In the midst of a sip, when it’s more the honeybush/rooibos I taste, I really like it. But prior to that and in the aftertaste, it’s too much flavoring. Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for the sample of your blend, but it’s not your doing, it’s Adagio. Adagio and my tastebuds rarely get along.

Mastress Alita’s sipdown challenge Saturday, January 9th: National Apricot Day Tea #3

additional notes:  Final apricot tea of the day!  Leaning more towards orange cream at this point, but I’m still shocked it has any flavor and I WOULD purchase this one in an eventual Adagio order.  Next time sipdown and it will be missed.   Also forgot to mention, I was finishing up some almond apricot jam cookies with my earlier apricot teas! Very good.

Dustin

You have MULTIPLE apricot teas?! I’m impressed! I feel like it’s a flavor you don’t often see in tea.

Mastress Alita

I find it often enough as a flavor note in straight teas. (Sipdown Challenge is certainly not just for “flavored” tea drinkers, and in fact I drank a straight white Silver Needle that had apricot notes as mine today!)

tea-sipper

Yeah, I think that was the extent of my apricot teas, Dustin! Three down to two, soon to be one apricot tea.
Mastress Alita,I might have to get more creative with these funsy tea days in the future. ha

Creativity is encouraged!

I got this as a sample from the original blender TeaEqualsBliss (thanks!) and I iced it sugar-free after a 5 minute steep. I have one word for this blend. Delicious! All the flavors blend together so wonderfully that you can taste them all but can’t necessarily pick the individual flavors out. I keep sipping it to see if there is more apricot or orange or vanilla, but really they are equally present and delicious in this blend! I saved just enough for a hot cup and now I wish I’d saved more because I bet this one is delicious with some vanilla soy milk. I’ll brew that tonight and let you all know. If it holds up hot AND iced I just might have to buy some! YUM! :)
