People really seem to hate this one on here so I decided to rip the bandage and try it both hot and iced, using up all the leaf in the process.
I am trying the hot tea first. It is citrusy with a slight booziness. It is artificial tasting and just not a great flavor but it is not as terrible as I expected. Yay for that.
The iced tea I dropped on myself and wore. However, what I wasn’t wearing I got to try. This is such a strong orange flavor and it is sharp.
This is not a good tea but it isn’t as terrible as expected. However not as terrible as expected is not really a rave review.

Not really sure what I’ll do with the rest of this, as I’m not particularly keen on drinking it again.

That’s a LOT of precautions/adjustments from my typical steeping parameters but with what the last cup of this tasted like (bad) I felt like they were all needed. Preparing this one this way was SUCH an improvement though. Like, seriously. More of a sweet orange top note that’s pretty darn pleasant, and then a more boozey body. The finish still tasted a bit like chewable orange vitamins though…
I’m adding the rest into the Discovery Tea Box though – I’m hoping that someone coming up in the line up will be a green tea fan who’ll actually get some genuine enjoyment out of this one. I just definitely caution anyone trying it out to go light on your leaf and steep time! Seriously, it made such a big improvement.
this one smelled wonderful when i opened up the packet. i was super excited for it. Brewed though…slightly different story. That’s not to say it’s a bad tea but man if this isn’t a slightly less sweet version of orange triaminic, i dunno what is!
