I’m honestly not sure I can say I was a fan of this one – I think the cinnamon was a bit overkill. I liked the concept and love the smell of raisins – I thought this might remind me of a Thanksgiving dinner kind of drink. I was excited to receive it in a swap, though – my roommate loved it and she finished the pot.

I’ll admit, the name alone worried me. I like sweet potato but the thought of mixing sweet potato with raisins (not a fan) has put me against trying this one since it arrived in my mailbox. Opening the pouch today, I almost turned back. Strong, strong cinnamon (spicy Red Hot cinnamon – also not a favorite) and something that reminded me of a musty old house. But I figured that I like the flavor of some black teas with sweet potato and raisin notes so why not this?

Ehh, not great. Just that overpowering cinnamon. Nope, nope, nope.

Sipdown (220)

I had one serving of this left and so I brewed it up and returned to my room to continue my lazy Sunday of rewatching Drag Race. Unfortunately my fan is broken and the angle it’s broken at meant it blows directly onto my tea so I am drinking it cold.

This tea has a whole lot of cinnamon. Cinnamon and the familiar AQ2T Fall spice mix. Not much sweet potato. Not much raisin. It’s alright but nothing special.

Drank this… recall it was spicy, possibly too spicy. Should probably write a better note later. I don’t believe it was a fave for me though.

Sipdown (600)!

A little less “raisin cookie” as it tasted last time I made it, but ultimately sweet delicious and a pretty good recreation of the titular flavour – if you accept that it’s also just a cinnamon dominant cup of tea. I don’t know if this is still on the AQ2T website – but I’ve but building a doomcart for the last few weeks; and if I get “itchy trigger finger” syndrome again any time soon and actually place that dream order then I’m probably tossing this into my cart too if it’s still available…

“Someone” should get around to trying her teas! Until then…guess it’s on me for first reviews haha. Not a fan of this one…it’s very holiday spice….a little too much clove? i think it is…
