“The green rooibos here is lovely, as ever. It’s mildly fruity, but mostly just green rooibos. I’m certainly enjoying it, but it’s not as amazing as some other green rooibos blends from 52teas....” Read full tasting note

Tea of the Week for November 8, 2021!
My approach to this blend was similar to one of my all-time favorites: Lime Jello Salad Green Tea. For those of you who have been fans of 52Teas since Frank’s era, you are probably aware that he originally crafted the Lime Jello Salad tea as a homage to the humble lime jello salad that graces many a Thanksgiving dinner table every year. You know the salad I’m talking about, right? The green jello with pineapple and marshmallows in it? Usually molded in a round “bundt cake” like mold. Yeah, you can envision it, can’t you?So, as much as I love that Lime Jello Salad Green Tea, I wanted to do a spin-off of that, but with Green Rooibos. This time, featuring Tangerine & Cranberries! Imagine a tangerine jello, bedazzled with cranberries & marshmallows! That’s what we have here!
It starts with organic, naturally caffeine-free green rooibos, blended with tangerines & cranberries – plus some lemon grass & marshmallow root. This is so good! Bright, sweet tangerines combined with tart & tangy cranberries & soft, creamy marshmallow notes.
It’s caffeine-free, gluten-free, vegan, allergen-free, organic & all natural too!
organic ingredients: green rooibos, lemongrass, marshmallow root, cranberries, tangerines & natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch to make sure that all the ingredients are well-incorporated. Use 3 ½ grams of leaf to 12oz of very hot water (190°F) & allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!
This tea tastes great served hot, but I like it even better as it cools. Great without sweetener, while a wee bit of sugar will enhance the overall sweetness of this dessert-y tea & make it taste more like a “jello salad”.
