Smooth green tea blended with blackcurrants & vanilla beans to create a slightly tart, pleasantly sweet, very creamy cuppa that I absolutely love & I’m certain you will too!

Countdown to Catching Up, Part 2 – Tea 10 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)

Wowza! This tea turned out so much better than I even anticipated. Don’t get me wrong, I had high expectations (I usually do!), but this is SO GOOD! The blackcurrant flavor is clear & stands out – bright, tart & sweet with a berry finish that provides a really nice contrast to the sweet & creamy vanilla custard notes. So amazingly good!

This blend starts with Chinese Sencha which is known for its mild, earthy flavor. Then, I added a couple of organic vanilla beans & some freeze-dried blackcurrants as well as a touch of essence to enhance these flavors & create a custard-y note. The result is a fantastic cup that is sweet, creamy & tangy. It’s the kind of cuppa you want to curl up to along with a warm blanket & a good book. It’s organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all-natural!

organic ingredients: green tea, blackcurrants, vanilla beans, calendula petals & natural flavors

to brew: shake pouch well. Use 3g of tea to 12oz, of very hot water (175°F) & steep for 2 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!

serving suggestion: Because I tend to prefer my “creamy” teas (like a custard tea) served hot, I like this one that way too. But it also makes a really nice iced tea. It’s tasty without any additions, but it makes a stunning latte. A bit of sugar will enhance the custard-y notes.

So, I am WAY out of order with these countdowns, but does it really matter? I’m behind, you guys all know that.

Good news: my legs are pretty much healed up (my cellulitis!) The skin is really delicate still, though – but at least I don’t have to go to the wound care clinic any more. Going twice a week every week was a bit trying on the soul. I still get bouts of pain with it, I’m still not able to stand very long on my legs, but, they’re definitely way better than they were a couple of months ago.

Anyway – this tea! I love this tea. I don’t work with currants very often, mostly because availability of the fruit is not a consistent thing. But I do enjoy the few times that I have worked with currants – including this! It’s tart, but not too tart. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. There is a lovely creamy tone to the tea. It’s smooth & delicious. Something I could easily drink all day long.

I just updated the inventory for this particular tea, so it will no longer appear as sold out – until – well – it sells out again. :) Grab some while it’s here!

Edited to add: this resteeps well! The second steep is even better than the first infusion!

Glad to hear you are recovering well!

@ashmanra – THANK YOU! :) It’s been a really, really long road, but I’m glad things are turning around!
