316 Tasting Notes
This one has a strong scent of vanilla when first smelling the loose leaf. I steeped it for 2 minutes at 85c, and it’s almost perfect – I taste that vanilla, and I also get that hint of green tea base. Maybe next time I’ll steep for 1.5 min. This tea is pretty good – I was not sure whether I’d like it since others said it reminded them of butter sencha or vallilla orchid (neither of which I like) But this is actually pretty good for a straight/flavoured green.

This one sounds so good, but now that I’ve tasted it, I kind of wish it wasn’t decaf. I don’t know if it actually makes a difference in taste, but I think it does. I do taste the chocolate and hazelnut, but there’s also a fake element to it… Not sure what that is. Not a bad tea, but it kinda tastes washed out.
Flavors: Cardboard, Chocolate, Hazelnut

I mainly got this because it said it was good for colds, and somehow I managed to get a cold. It smells soooo good. The orange with the spices is just heavenly. I do steep it a bit longer to bring out the flavour, and its really good! I just LOVE the orange taste with that kick from the peppercorns, cinnamon and anise. So warming.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Orange, Spices

Well, I’ve waited long enough to finally try this one. Luckily my store got more of it so I bought about 30g. This one has a scent that does remind me of ice cream – but tasting it, it tastes more like almonds and green tea. I’m not sure I taste the matcha at all in this. Adding some sugar makes it taste more like a nutty ice cream to me. Not bad, I’m glad I got to try it.
Flavors: Almond, Creamy, Nuts, Sweet
Preparation
Got a warm cup of this to go! I think since it was the TOTD it had been there for a while so it wasn’t hot, but warm – which is okay. I tried the sample in store and it was pretty good. So I bought some to take home as well. I definitely taste the rhubarb in this one. Also the hibiscus. And I’m getting that ‘cream soda’ feel from it as well. Overall I think they named this one pretty accurately, and it’s a pretty good tea. Can’t wait to try it iced!
Flavors: Fruity, Hibiscus, Rhubarb
I got about 15g of this one to try since it’s kinda expensive, and I am finally getting around to trying it, haha. It smells so good, a very strong jasmine and floral scent. At first I thought this would be a green tea, but nope- it’s white! It also tastes nice! Definitely jasmine, and a floral tone. This is really nice with a bit of sugar. I like this.
Flavors: Floral, Jasmine
Preparation
I got a generous sample of this, so I decided to cold steep a pitcher of it. It’s pretty good – but a little subtle on flavour. It tastes somewhat like mandarin though. I’m not surprised, since Teavana’s teas aren’t usually very flavourful. Glad I got to try it though!
Preparation
I have been so excited to try this one, because I love banana teas! :) This is actually really good. I get a distinct banana flavour, and it pairs nicely with the cinnamon and spices as well. Definitely will get more of this one!
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spices
Preparation
I got this in a gift set from a friend.. Very disappointed that it’s basically just green tea and artificial/natural flavours. Mostly artificial. That explains why each one I’ve tried so far just tastes like green tea. I smelled the apple in this but no actual apple in it. :( Just bitter green tea, with a tiny hint of apple. Meh.
Flavors: Bitter
Preparation
This is actually better than I was expecting. I expected tartness from the hibiscus but turns out its actually quite fruity. Mostly strawberry to be exact. I think this would also be a great iced tea. Although today I decided to try it first hot. Next time though… It’s getting iced.
Flavors: Fruity, Strawberry
