4277 Tasting Notes
I usually associate white teas with being dry and fuzzy for some reason. This white tea wasn’t at all, and really let the roses shine. The white tea was plain enough to really let me enjoy the scent and flavor of the roses. Really nice. I usually avoid white teas above others (black, red, green), but I would probably try other Numi white teas in the future.
With four different black teas within, I expected this to be much stronger. I expect black teas to have tons of flavor. Maybe the four different teas cancel each other out and you don’t really get to appreciate each one individually. Not a tea I’d seek out in the future but it was nice to try in my Numi sampler!
ETA: And I always leave the tea bag in until I’m completely finished drinking, so it’s not like I took the tea bag out after two seconds!
I liked this, but it wasn’t as strong as I’d like. I usually drink chai when I want the strongest flavor I can get out of a tea. (And I usually leave a tea bag in until I’ve completely finished drinking.) And I also think there is something going on with me and ginger. I do not dislike ginger but I have a suspicion I’m not exactly allergic but it isn’t good for me to be eating it.
I had no idea what this tea was before I tried it, but it was EXACTLY as I thought it would be. A nice scent and a nice flavor. It also doesn’t get bitter if you boil the water. I think it would be nice if Numi paired honeybush with some kind of melon flavor in another tea.
