14 Tasting Notes
This is a very interesting and great tasting shou. There are a lot of shous out there that taste exactly the same. This shou is a very very smooth tasting shou. Now I don’t know if that’s the bottle of cava talking. Nonetheless, great tasting and smooth shou. I am getting notes of honey and almonds.
Flavors: Almond, Caramel, Honey

This is a great sheng. I will not say young as it is obvious. One would not think it is as young as it is just by tasting. It is pretty smooth and vegetal. It also develops some hints of sweetness. I feel I am not doing this tea justice in this review. This is a perfect sheng. I will definitely getting more of these cakes. Perfect name to it!
Flavors: Smooth, Sweet, Vegetal
Preparation
This is a great everyday shou. I purchased a full bing and broke it up completely to bring with me to work. I did six steeps ranging from 15 seconds up to 30 seconds. It is very earthy and woodsy the first few steeps and it develops some sweetness towards the later steeps. Color is light on the first steep. Steeps 2-4 develop a much darker brew. The last two steeps get a little lighter but still some darkness to it. This shou can keep going but I can’t. This one is a winner.
Flavors: Earth, Sweet, Wood

That is a real bummer. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t brew at work. Most of my brewing has to be at work. There from 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday.
I hear you on those hours. Mine are really close to what you are working. I have been driving a delivery truck for 28 years now. I think father time is catching up to me. I would love a place to brew but for now only at home.
Just had a cup of this tea in my gaiwan which I received from Anna as a sample. thank you very much Anna. A good cup of tea. A very gold color in my gaiwan which looks nice. The aroma is very strong vegetal smell. The taste is smooth and mellow. It does not lingerin the mouth too long. Overall a good cup of tea.
