45 Tasting Notes
I made this according to directions – simmered it in water, then added milk and simmered it some more, then strained. It was delicious, very spicy. The mix is very fine – no visible leaves – most of the solids stayed in the bottom of the saucepan, and I used a regular tea strainer to strain it. Next I will try to steep it in teapot and see how that works, since it would be easier than “cooking” it.
this stuff is just really good as a basic go-to tea – very tasty but almost neutral flavor, so it’s good no matter what you’re in the mood in – as opposed to teas which have particular fruity or floral or other flavors – which are good but you might have to be in the specific mood for them.
tried this at starbucks this morning – quite tasty. taste not so much of vanilla but of fruit. i am used to my vanilla rooibos from upton, and this is different. I like it but i wasn’t expecting the fruit-iness. sometimes you don’t want the fruit taste, you just want vanilla.
