Well, Ms. Lovell, you are to blame. You made the Lapsang sound so damn tasty in your book I had to make myself a cup. Along with the predictable smokiness in the aroma, there is also an interesting presence of fruit. Slight bonfire, slight fire in a lodge. Pleasant. I am cold steeping this. I think I prefer them cold. This is delightful in its own smoky way. Wood after a rain and campfire charcoal. A burnt log. Dark wood and silky mouth feel. I’ve had a puer and a lapsang today and liked them both. I’d call that a win.

Hmm. I have never thought to do a cold brew on a lapsang. Should give it a try sometime.

I also have the lapsang steeping overnight with some cherries. Smoked cherries just sounded interesting

Yum! Definitely want to try that now too!

I’m a purist but I will try a flavored as long as it doesn’t have artificial flavors.

I will drink any type and love to taste whatever I can get my hands on.

(Purple is not a type of tea it is a cultivar known as TRFK 306/1)
