Had a great experience here! The sales lady was really polite and able to recommend a “to go” thermos with infuser that best fit my needs (a very fine, mesh filter) and was honest about which thermoses were overpriced. I bombarded her with a huge list of teas that I wanted to try based on exploring their website and she was very patient about it and offered some information on certain teas that I hadn’t been able to find on the website. I found that the tea prices were pretty reasonable for the amounts that I got (the most costly tea I purchased was $8 for 50g, and that was a HUGE bag full – also, the sales lady explained that this is one of their more costly teas because the leaves are soaked in champagne). Overall, it was just a really good experience and I ended up leaving with for new teas to try!
Staff is really knowledgeable and there is a large variety of tea for very reasonable prices. I was able to find one of the teas I went in specifically looking for, however the second tea I wanted I was unable to purchase because it had been discontinued (which I would have known, had their website been kept up to date). The one thing I really disliked about the store was that the sales lady seemed really impatient as I browsed the aisles, and also seemed fairly impatient while trying to explain to another customer that there is more than one kind of straight green tea (the customer had come in and asked if they sold “straight green tea” to which the sales lady responded “what kind” and was then answered with “just straight” – the sales lady seemed exasperated by this customers general lack of knowledge).
Very friendly staff who’re really knowledgeable about the different types of tea & who’ve been able to help me find new teas to try out really easily just based on my saying things like “maybe something with licorice in it?”. I’ve found they’re really honest too about the type of teas they personally stock and which teas they’ve tried and didn’t like. On a couple occasions I’ve gone in with friends who knew nothing about tea and seemed really disinterested, but by the end of my shopping spree the staff had them involved in smelling the teas and having a nice time.
