59 Tasting Notes
I love jasmine; in my garden, in my perfume, in desserts and of course in tea.
That being said, it’s a no-brainer that Lupicia’s Jasmin Mandarin Special Grade would be up my alley. The dry fragrance is strong, so if you love the scent of jasmine, you will enjoy it. If not, no worries, it mellows out when steeped.
I recommend a light steeping if you’re using a tea sachet like I did. It can get astringent relatively quickly, but the flavor is beautiful
Will consider purchasing this one once there’s room in my tea cabinet^_^
Preparation
Not a fan of tart teas therefore opting out of rating
I have to give credit to Fortnum & Mason for making wonderful fruit infused teas. They never really taste artificial. This tea definitely smells like cranberry , but the taste is a slight tartness that balances out the black tea. While i like the balance, I am not a fan of tart teas so someone who is looking for something tart may find it too subtle for their tastes.
A nice black tea with notes of apple. For me, the apple reminds me of the Fuji variety (sweet yet refreshing and crisp). While this isn’t a tea that Lupicia suggests serving cold, I think it this tea would be amazing served straight on ice.
I have to say I think I prefer the Harrod’s Apple and Elderflower black tea over this Lupicia flavor but would still recommend for those who want to try something different. Just be careful to not over steep. The apple flavor can get easily lost by the bitterness in an over-steeped brew.
Preparation
UPDATE: I steeped 5 grams of the tea per 150 ml of water and left in the refrigerator overnight and noticed a noticeable difference. I thought the strawberry and rosé flavors were more vibrant and clear when served chilled. However, next time around I think I will increase the amount of tea per ml of water to make a stronger tea.
ORIGINAL: Tried this tea in bag form and steeped per Lupicia’s guidelines (150 ml of boiling water, 3 minutes).
I was expecting the tea to be a little sweeter based on the smell of the bag and the sugar crystals, but found the sugar to be very subtle. The strawberry and rosé were there but they came off like a gummy candy to me and’m still not sure how I feel about that with a black tea base. I think it would have worked better with a white or green tea.
I did notice that I found the taste to be more pleasant as the cup cooled down, so I will test to see how this tastes iced.
Preparation
Upon opening the bag, you can smell the fruity notes in this tea! I stepped for the bag for 1 minute in 150ml of boiling water per Lupicia’s instructions. Upon first sip, my first thought was ‘This would be amazing iced!’ The flavor is clean and a little malty. I liked it but didn’t love it. I tend to be gifted a lot of black teas that are similar, so I would have no need to purchase this on my own.

A beautiful Oolong! The instructions on my tea bag said to steep for 1.5 – 2 minutes in 110 ml of boiling water. The flavor was lightly roasted with a floral undertone. The astringency was also mild, making this quite enjoyable.
